GamePocket — Mobile App

Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

Offline-first gameplay

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Privacy Policy

GamePocket ("the app") is a collection of brain-training mini-games you can play without an internet connection. Every game itself runs fully offline. The app also offers an optional global leaderboard and daily-streak tracking, which use a small amount of account and gameplay data to work, and is supported by ads. This policy explains exactly what that is.

In short: you can play every game without ever creating an account. If you want your scores and streak to show up on the leaderboard or survive a reinstall, the app syncs a nickname, your best scores, and streak stats to our database (Google Firebase) under an anonymous ID — or, if you choose to sign in, under your Google or email account. We never sell your data. GamePocket is free and shows ads (banner, occasional interstitial, and optional rewarded video) served through Google AdMob; where the law requires it we ask for your consent first, and you can change that choice anytime from Settings → Privacy & Ads.

1. Information We Collect

Automatically, on first launch: the app opens an anonymous session with Firebase Authentication and gets a random device-scoped ID ("uid"). This ID is not linked to your name or email unless you choose to sign in (see below).

Gameplay data tied to that ID: your best score per game, your daily-streak stats (current streak, longest streak, total games played), and any cosmetic unlocks you earn. This is stored in our Firestore database so the leaderboard and streak survive an app restart.

A nickname you choose: shown publicly on the leaderboard next to your scores. See Leaderboard & Public Data.

Crash and diagnostic data: if the app crashes or hits an unhandled error, Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects a stack trace along with your device model, OS version, and app version, to help us fix the bug. This does not include your name, email, or gameplay data.

Usage analytics: Firebase Analytics records app-usage events (such as which game a score was submitted for, or that you set a nickname) and standard automatic events like app opens. These are tied to the same anonymous ID, not to your identity.

Advertising data: to show ads, our ad provider (Google AdMob) and its ad-serving partners may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks). Where the law requires it, this only happens after you've had the chance to grant or decline consent to personalized advertising. See Advertising below.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access, SMS, or any government ID.

2. Accounts & Sign-In

Signing in is entirely optional and only exists to let you restore your leaderboard progress and streak after a reinstall or on a new device. You can play, and appear on the leaderboard, without ever signing in.

If you choose to link an account:

  • Google Sign-In: we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google, used only to authenticate you and, optionally, pre-fill your leaderboard nickname.
  • Email & password: we receive the email address and password you provide (the password is handled entirely by Firebase Authentication — we never see or store it ourselves).

Linking preserves your existing anonymous scores and streak under the new account. You can sign out at any time, which drops you back to a fresh anonymous session so the app keeps working offline.

3. Leaderboard & Public Data

Each game's leaderboard is visible to anyone who opens it in the app. It shows your chosen nickname (or "Anonymous Player" if you haven't set one), a short 4-character tag derived from your ID so duplicate nicknames stay distinguishable, and your best score. Your email address, real name (unless you choose your Google name as your nickname), and device ID are never shown publicly.

Score writes are validated against expected ranges and can only improve your existing best — this protects the leaderboard from obviously invalid or manipulated scores. Nicknames are checked against a basic blocklist to deter impersonation and profanity; we may reset or remove a nickname or leaderboard entry that violates this.

4. Local Data Storage

Alongside the cloud copy described above, the app caches your scores, streak data, nickname, and settings (theme, sound, notification preferences) locally on your device, so the app works instantly and stays usable offline. This local cache is never shared with anyone and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

5. App Permissions

GamePocket requests only:

  • Notifications — to remind you before your daily streak resets. You can decline this and still play and use the leaderboard normally.
  • Internet access — required for the leaderboard, streak sync, optional sign-in, and ads. Gameplay itself never depends on it.
  • Vibration, wake lock, and boot-completed — used for in-game feedback and to reschedule your streak reminder after your device restarts.

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, or location.

6. Advertising

GamePocket is free to play and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Ads appear in three places:

  • A small banner ad on the Home, Game Library, and Leaderboard screens — never during actual gameplay.
  • An occasional full-screen interstitial ad after you finish a game, limited by a cooldown so it can never appear back-to-back or on your very first completion of a session.
  • An optional rewarded video ad you can choose to watch in exchange for a streak-freeze — this only plays if you tap to request it.

Where the law requires it (for example, the EEA and UK), the app shows a consent form the first time you open it, asking whether you'd like personalized or non-personalized ads, using Google's User Messaging Platform and Google's Consent Mode. You can revisit that choice anytime from Settings → Privacy & Ads.

We also record ad-related events (an ad was requested, shown, or dismissed, and estimated ad revenue) through Firebase Analytics, tied to the same anonymous ID described above — never to your name or email.

7. Third-Party Services

GamePocket runs on Google Firebase, specifically: Firebase Authentication (anonymous sessions and optional Google/email sign-in), Cloud Firestore (leaderboard, streak, and unlock data), Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. It also uses Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK) to request and display the ads described in Advertising above. Optional Google Sign-In is provided by Google. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices — see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Your leaderboard entries, streak data, and account record remain in our database until deleted, so that your progress is still there if you come back or reinstall the app. Signing out starts a new anonymous session locally, but does not delete the previous account's data on our servers.

To request deletion of your account and all associated leaderboard, streak, and unlock data, email us at deval.mobileapps@gmail.com from the email associated with your account (or with your in-app nickname, if you played anonymously). We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

GamePocket is designed to be safe for players of all ages. You do not need to provide your age or any personal information to play or to appear on the leaderboard anonymously. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond an anonymous device ID and a self-chosen nickname. Linking a Google or email account is subject to that provider's own age requirements, and we recommend parental supervision before a child links any account.

GamePocket has not been designed for or specifically marketed to children, and ads shown in the app are served through Google AdMob under its standard, non-child-directed settings. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us beyond what is described in this policy, or has been served an inappropriate ad, contact us and we will investigate and delete data as appropriate.

10. Health & Safety

As with any screen-based game, take a 15-minute break every hour to rest your eyes and avoid repetitive strain, maintain good posture, and stop playing if your device becomes uncomfortably warm or if you experience discomfort from flashing visuals. Never play while driving, walking, or operating machinery.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the app or in applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and if a change is material, the app will ask you to review and re-accept it. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the GamePocket mobile application. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use GamePocket on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the app.

2. Accounts & Sign-In

The app assigns you an anonymous session automatically; signing in with Google or email/password is optional and only used to preserve your leaderboard and streak progress across devices. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials secure and for all activity associated with your account. Gameplay itself and the offline games never require an account.

3. Advertising

GamePocket is supported by third-party advertising served through Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, and optional rewarded ads, as described in the Advertising section of our Privacy Policy above. Ads are provided by Google and its ad-network partners; we do not control, and are not responsible for, the content of individual ads served in the app. Attempting to interfere with, block through unauthorized means, or fraudulently interact with ads served in the app is prohibited and may result in suspension of ad-supported features.

4. Leaderboard Conduct

You agree to choose a nickname that does not impersonate GamePocket staff, another player, or contain profanity or harassment, and not to attempt to submit falsified, out-of-range, or automated scores. We reserve the right to reset, hide, or remove any nickname or leaderboard entry that violates this, and to suspend leaderboard access for repeated violations, without affecting your ability to play the games offline.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • Distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the app
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the app or its leaderboard
  • Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

6. Intellectual Property

GamePocket and all related intellectual property — source code, game designs, artwork, and branding — are owned by the app's developer. Any third-party libraries used in the app remain subject to their own licenses.

7. No Warranty

GamePocket is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the app, its leaderboard, or its cloud sync will be error-free, uninterrupted, or permanently available.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, device issues, or loss of local or cloud-synced game data arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app. GamePocket is free to download, and any liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (USD $0.00).

9. Governing Law

GamePocket is available to users worldwide. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app's developer is based, without regard to its conflict of law principles, and without depriving you of any consumer protections you are entitled to under the mandatory laws of the country in which you reside.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
